AION Is More Than AI
We don’t have an information problem — we have the opposite one. A founder on why the point was never the technology, and what it actually makes possible for someone who can’t afford a trainer.
Jordan Woods, CEO & Co-Founder, AION Sculpts ·

We didn’t want to build another fitness app.
There are plenty of those.
We wanted to solve a problem I had lived with myself: I was willing to put in the work, but I didn’t always have the kind of guidance that made that work count. There were times I simply couldn’t afford a trainer.
So I did what a lot of people do. I used multiple apps. I read articles. I watched videos. I tracked my food. I built workouts. I tried to educate myself.
And somehow, even while doing all of that, I was still guessing.
That is one of the most frustrating things about fitness and nutrition today. We don’t have an information problem. We have the opposite problem. There is so much information that finding the truth becomes its own job.
Eat more carbs. Eat fewer carbs. Train six days. Train three days. Fast. Don’t fast. Do more cardio. Cardio is killing your gains.
Somewhere in that noise is good information. But even good information doesn’t always answer the question that actually matters:
What should I do today — based on my body, my life, my goals, and what is happening right now?
That is why we built Aion.
He builds around you
Aion isn’t there to hand you a generic workout and disappear. He builds around you. Your goals. Your schedule. Your food. Your training. Your limitations. Where you are today.
And then he adapts.
Because your life is going to change. You’re going to miss a workout. You’re going to travel. You’re going to have a bad night of sleep. You’re going to go on a date and eat something that wasn’t in the plan.
That shouldn’t mean the entire plan falls apart.
And it shouldn’t mean you need to feel ashamed about it.
If you already have a trainer, good
Aion isn’t here to replace great trainers. He can help them. A trainer may see a client a few hours a week. Real life happens in all the hours in between. That’s where Aion can show up.
- Your client has a date night and doesn’t know what to order.
- They miss Tuesday’s workout.
- Their schedule changes.
- They’re standing in the kitchen wondering whether something fits their plan.
Clients can be needy. That’s normal. Aion can answer those everyday questions in the trainer’s own voice, keep people moving forward, and give trainers another way to support clients without needing to be available every second of every day — while the trainer remains the person setting the direction, bringing the expertise, and building the relationship.
That matters.
I use him myself
Right now, I’m not in a position where I can justify paying for a trainer. And I’m still getting results. I’m using Aion. I’m following the program. I’m trusting the plan.
I’m not new to training. I’ve spent years in gyms. I know how to train hard. I understand a lot about nutrition and programming — and I also know there is still a lot I don’t know.
That may actually be part of the point.
Experience doesn’t make you objective about yourself. Sometimes the hardest person to coach is you.
Aion gives me structure. Instead of changing everything because I had one bad workout — wondering if I should add more cardio, cut food, or rewrite the week — I have a plan built around where I am and where I’m trying to go.
Even when I did have trainers, I was constantly wanting to change things. I am not a patient person. When that impatience kicks in, Aion can explain the reasoning behind the plan and help me see whether something actually needs to change — or whether I need to stay the course.
There’s a big difference between blindly following a plan and understanding why you’re following it.
I get to understand it.
And then I get to do the work.
That is incredibly freeing.
The point isn’t AI. The point is access.
This is why I struggle when Aion gets reduced to “AI.” Yes, artificial intelligence is part of the technology behind him. But that isn’t the point. The point is what that technology makes possible.
- Someone who can’t afford traditional coaching can still have individualized guidance.
- Someone who simply wants structure doesn’t have to spend hours researching everything on their own.
- A trainer can extend support beyond the time they physically spend with a client.
And instead of stitching together workouts, nutrition, tracking, and advice from five different places, someone can have a plan that works together — and changes when their life does.
That is what excites me.
Not AI for the sake of AI.
Access.
The ability to give more people meaningful, individualized support when they are genuinely trying to change their health. I believe Aion can be an asset for almost anyone who wants to do that. Beginner or experienced. Working with a trainer or doing it alone. Trying to lose weight, gain muscle, understand nutrition, build consistency, or simply stop feeling overwhelmed by conflicting advice.
Aion is technology.
But what we’re trying to do with that technology is much bigger. We’re trying to make good guidance more accessible and fitness more personal. Because if someone is willing to put in the work, they shouldn’t have to waste that effort guessing what to do next.
That is the why.
And that is so much more interesting to me than AI.
On the label itself, and what happened when strangers applied it to one of our ads: AI Slop.
Common questions
- Is AION just another AI fitness app?
- The honest test is not what the technology is, it is what it changes. Most plans are written once and then handed to you. Aion builds around your goals, your schedule, your food, your training and your limitations, remembers them permanently, and reworks the plan when your week falls apart — which it will. Judge that, not the label.
- Can Sculpt replace a personal trainer?
- It isn’t trying to replace a great one. A trainer may see a client a few hours a week, and real life happens in the hours between — the date night, the missed Tuesday, the schedule change, standing in the kitchen wondering whether something fits. That gap is where Aion shows up. The trainer stays the person setting direction, bringing expertise and holding the relationship.
- What if I can’t afford a trainer at all?
- That is the reason this exists. Our co-founder is not currently paying for a trainer and is using Aion herself. Someone who can’t afford traditional coaching can still have individualized guidance, and someone who simply wants structure doesn’t have to spend hours researching everything alone.
- I already know how to train. Is there anything in it for me?
- Possibly more than you’d expect, and not because it knows more than you do. Experience doesn’t make you objective about yourself — sometimes the hardest person to coach is you. The value is having a plan built around where you are, so one bad workout doesn’t turn into rewriting the week.
- What happens when I miss a workout or eat off plan?
- The plan adjusts. You can tell Aion what changed — move Sunday’s session to Monday and he moves it and handles the week rollover. Missing a day is not supposed to collapse the plan, and it is not supposed to come with shame attached.
- Does Sculpt cover both training and nutrition?
- Yes, and that combination is most of the point. Instead of stitching workouts, nutrition, tracking and advice together from five different places, it is one plan that works together — and changes when your life does.
